SpartanNash Associates, LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our retail pharmacy inside our grocery stores. In this role, you’ll assist pharmacists by accurately filling and labeling prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining organized work areas. You’ll greet customers, process insurance claims, and handle payments while protecting patient confidentiality. You’ll follow safety, HIPAA, and quality standards, support immunization and wellness programs, and help keep shelves stocked. Assist pharmacists with accurate prescription filling, labeling, and verification support Greet customers, answer basic questions, and provide courteous, efficient service Process insurance claims, resolve basic issues, and handle point‑of‑sale transactions Maintain pharmacy inventory, rotate stock, and check for out‑of‑date products Follow HIPAA, safety, and company policies to protect patient confidentiality and quality Keep work areas, shelves, and equipment clean, organized, and compliant with standards Support pharmacy programs such as immunizations, wellness, and medication synchronization Collaborate with store and pharmacy team members to meet service and performance goals Prescription filling and labeling Pharmacy software (PMR/POS) proficiency Inventory management and stock rotation Medication storage and handling standards HIPAA and patient confidentiality compliance Customer service and point-of-sale operations Data entry accuracy and verification Basic pharmaceutical calculations Insurance processing and claim resolution Communication with patients and healthcare providers Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Pharmacy Technician license or registration as required by state National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred Completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred Ability to pass background and drug screening Strong math and data entry accuracy for prescriptions and counts
