Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in filling and labeling prescriptions accurately Enter and maintain patient and medication data in pharmacy systems Manage inventory, stock shelves, and monitor medication expirations Process insurance claims and resolve basic billing issues Provide friendly, professional customer service at the pharmacy counter Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy work area Follow Walmart policies, HIPAA, and state/federal pharmacy regulations Support pharmacists with workflow to ensure timely prescription processing Prescription data entry Medication dispensing support Pharmacy inventory management Retail point-of-sale systems Insurance claim processing HIPAA compliance Customer service Basic pharmaceutical calculations Handling controlled substances per policy Electronic health record/pharmacy software use Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k State-licensed Pharmacy Technician (where required) National certification (CPhT) preferred Current immunization/CPR certifications may be preferred based on state Ability to pass background check and drug screen
