Summary:
Performs activities involved in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Technician completes pharmacy functions that do not require a licensed pharmacist, which allows pharmacist more time for clinical activities. Required
Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: High school diploma or equivalent Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Minnesota Pharmacy Technician Registration (PTR) – required at hire/start date. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)-required within 1 year of hire/start date Must follow State Board of Pharmacy guidelines/requirements for Pharmacy Technicians Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be at least 18 years old At least 6 months of previous pharmacy technician experience Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 2-3 years pharmacy technician experience
