Pharmacy Technician - New Lenox & Morris, IL Pharmacy Technician Locations: New Lenox, IL & Morris, IL Job Type: Part-Time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in New Lenox and Morris, Illinois . The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care by accurately preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, processing insurance claims, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications. Receive and process prescription requests from patients and healthcare providers. Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system. Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues. Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Manage medication inventory, stocking, and ordering supplies. Provide excellent customer service and answer general pharmacy inquiries. Support pharmacy workflow and ensure prescriptions are filled safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma or GED. Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (or eligible for licensure). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Preferred: PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification. Previous retail, hospital, or community pharmacy experience
